Yeahh! Sunny Thursday!

Today we had a fun day!
We began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts students practiced reading and writing Jj, ju and jug.
We also reviewed name, sound and formation of W, Y, a, c, d and g.
In Math we are working on our unit on measurements and today we played a game called "Our School Day".
We started our game with a discussion about what a typical day in our school look like. We focused our conversation on 3 main events that happens everyday. Students were encouraged to re-tell the events in order using the words first, next and last. Then they illustrated each event. Elina and Jaiden Melino did an excellent job!
In our UOI we talked about pigs and students colored a pig to add in their "Farm Animal Booklet".
Today we also had the mammal presentations, take a look at the pictures :)
To finish off the day we had reading groups, students worked in pairs and read (sounded out) blends and one vowel words.
Have a great evening everyone!
