Cold Wednesday!

Today we began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts students have been practcing reading and sounding out one vowel words. Today they completed two worksheets. The first one they had to say the name of the picture and circle the correct vowel.
The second worksheet they had to look at the picture and circle the correct word.
In Math we played a game called "How Long?"
Students had a variety of measuring tools and I drew 3 different lines (e.g., one straight, one curvy and one zigzag) on a sheet of chart paper. Students were asked to predict whether the lines were the same length. Then they were asked identify how they could check their predictions. Students were instructed to compare the lengths of the 3 lines and check if which was the same length, the longest and the shortest.
In our UOI we talked about horses, students colored and decorated a horse for their "Farm Animal" booklet.
Students attended French, Music and Gym classes today.

Good job Samaira in your Show & Tell!
