Today we began the day in the Gym rehearsing for the French Cafe.
Then we had morning circle time and healthy snacks. Next students participated in reading groups where they practiced reading blends and short words.
After lunch we had Language Arts, today students practiced writing and reading the following blends and words: sa, do, fa, fi, dog, doll, dot, fat, fin, fed, fog, fun, fan and sack.
We also reviewed long vowel sounds and practiced sounding out blends like: ch, ck, sk.
In Math students practiced counting objects and matching to the correct number (10-20). We also compared amounts between groups, e.g. which group has more and which group has less.
In our UOI we talked about sharks and learned a funny shark song. Then students completed an activity where they practiced their counting skills by gluing 13 sharp teeth in a shark's mouth.
To finish off the day we had 3 stations in the class. Students had the opportunity to manipulate stamps, 3D shapes and sorting dinosaurs.
Have a great evening everyone!
