IB Mission Statement

"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

Star Chart

Dear Parents,
I am very happy to have your child in my classroom. I believe that by all of us working together we can make this a very successful year.
Each student has a "Star Chart" in my class, where they can get up to 5 stamps throughout the day.
These are the 5 areas I will be observing:
1. Healthy Snack (students are encouraged to bring at least one healthy snack).
2. Good Behaviour (students must listen and show respect towards others).
3. Completed Work (students are encouraged to complete work given in class).
4. Cleanliness (students are encouraged to keep their cubby and work area neatly).
5. Learner Profile (students are encouraged to show any of the 10 learner profile attributes: inquirer, thinker, communicators, risk-taker, knowledgeable, principled, caring, open-minded, well-balanced and reflective).
If your child has at least 15 stamps by Friday, she/he will receive a prize from the "prize box".
Please, contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
