I am very glad to be back!
Today we began the day with with our morning circle time. Students had a lot to share about Christmas holidays.
In Language Arts we are learning name, sound and formation of G. Our animal friend for the week is Gomer Goat. Today we learned a little bit about goats. Students then traced and wrote upper case and lower case G. We also made a list of words that begins with G.
In Math we started a new Unit: Spatial Sense and Geometry. I will be sending a letter home tomorrow with more details on what we will be learning in this unit.
In our Unit of Inquiry we talked about the word transportation and students helped to sort out pictures of different types of transportation into 3 categories: land, sea and air. We all had fun doing that.
Students completed their journals and attended French, Gym and Music classes.
At the end of the day we played games and manipulated sorting sets.
Have a great evening everyone!
