IB Mission Statement

"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Happy Monday!

Today we start off the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts we reviewed name, sound and formation of "Cc" and students practiced writing letters on dry erase books.
In Math we practiced writing numbers 1-5 and students practiced sorting using math counters.
In our UOI we read a different version of the "Gingerbread Man" book and students completed a page where they had to retell the story trough drawing.
Students attended Music, French and Gym classes. Today we played soccer, everyone had a lot of fun!
This week we have been reading books about how to be nice and gentle to each other. Here at St. Jude's we strongly encourage students to use kind words and keep their hands to themselves.
In my class I always give students warnings before taking any further measures. Please be assured that your child will always have the chance to make a better choice. If your child does not cooperate and listen, he/she and I will have a discussion about his/her choices. The next step would be a timeout to think about his/her actions. If these steps are unsuccessful, your child will be referred to the principal. You will be kept informed at all times about your child's progress.
Please, don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Have a great evening everyone!
