Happy Wednesday!

Today we had a very productive day!
We began the day with morning circle and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts we reviewed name, sound and formation of the vowels.
Next, students were introduced to our new animal friend Timmy Tiger. Our first consonant to learn is "Tt". We learned that tigers don't like to get their face wet when swimming (just like Mrs. Padovan :).
Students then completed 2 worksheets. First worksheet they had to trace upper/lower case "Tt" and "Aa" and also circle the pictures that begin with "Tt". Our second worksheet, students had to look at the letter at the beginning of each row, say the name of each picture and finally circle the pictures in which they could hear the short sound of each vowel. With assistance everyone did a great job!
In our Unit of Inquiry we talked about birthdays and how important they are. Everyone shared their favourite part of a birthday party. Students then completed one more page to add in our booklet "All About Me". They were asked to decorate (color) a birthday cake and draw how many candles will they need in their next birthday.
In Math we continue working on sorting and today each student had an amount of Lego blocks (different size, colour and shape). Students were encouraged to chose an attribute and sort the blocks out.
Today students attended Gym, Music and French classes. Please check specialists blogs!
To finish off the day students had the choice of drawing or manipulating sorting sets.
Have a great evening everyone!
