Dear Parents,

Today we had a fun day!
We began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts, students were introduced to a new animal friend "Nicky Narwhal". The letter of the week is "Nn". Students practiced tracing upper and lower case "Nn". Then we practiced reading the following blends: na/ne/ni/no/nu.
In Math we continue with our Number Sense unit and today students started their number book. Students are going to complete this book over the next couple of weeks.
In our UOI we read a new story book "The Gingerbread Man". After our discussion about the book, students decorated their Gingerbread Man by gluing hair, eyes and buttons. As they were completing this craft we were using our counting skills.
To finish off the day students had the choice of manipulating puzzles or sorting sets.

Hayden's Number Book!
