IB Mission Statement

"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Hello all,

Today we had a busy day!
We began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks. Today in our morning circle time we read a very nice book titled: "Alexander and the Wind-Up Mouse" by Leo Lionni. Students were really engaged into the story. The main message was about friendship, being caring and open-minded.
These are some of the IB attributes that we encourage students to develop in our school.

In Language Arts students practiced reading and writing ye, yell, Yy. They also wrote a note and words of the week in their agendas.
In Math we are almost done with our numeracy booklet.
In our UOI we looked into the life cycle of a butterfly and completed an activity to review the phases.
We watched this video in class: http://youtu.be/7AUeM8MbaIk
Students also finished their Mother's Day booklet.
In the afternoon we had the dress rehearsal for the French Cafe. Everyone did a great job!
Have a great evening everyone and I hope to see you tomorrow at the French Cafe!
