IB Mission Statement

"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Glad to be back!

JKs were really excited today!
They told me everything about the Reptile Show last Friday. Sounded like they had fun!
Today we began the day rehearsing in the gym for the French Cafe. If you didn't confirm your presence yet, please do it ASAP.
Next, we had our morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts we practiced reading and writing blends and one vowel words.
In our UOI we are learning about insects this week. We watched a short video about insects and found out that insects have 6 legs, aantennas (also called feelers) and most of them have wings. Students also learned that insects use their feelers to smell and touch things.
In Math, students will be working on a number booklet this week. In the booklet students are expected to show different ways to represent numbers 1-10, count and write numbers 1-10. Next week we will be focusing on numbers 11-20.
Have a great evening everyone!
