IB Mission Statement

"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Happy Monday!

Lots of snow to play today!
We began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts we are learning name, sound and formation of "Vv". Our animal friend of the week is Vicky Vulture. Students completed a page where they practiced tracing and writing upper and lower case "Vv". After that they completed another page where they had to look at the picture and circle the correct beginning blend, for example they had a picture of a dog and 2 blends to choose from (do and de). Students then practiced reading the following blends: fe, ha, je, mo.
In Math we played a patterning game where students had to work with a partner and create a pattern by using snap cubes.
In our UOI, students worked collaboratively in order to build transportation of their choice. Tomorrow they will be presenting in class.
Please, check your child's agenda...we have lots going on.
Have a great evening everyone!
