IB Mission Statement

"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Sunny Tuesday!

Today we began the day with morning circle time (watch the video from one of our morning songs).
Next students helped me prepare our transportation snack. Everybody enjoyed eating it afterwards.
In Language Arts, students met our second animal friend of the week (this week we are learning Y and Z): Zed Zebra. Students then completed a page where they practiced formation of upper/lower case Z.
They also had to match each zoo animal with the letter with which it begins. After that students made their own Zebras by finger painting black stripes on a big letter Z.
For our UOI students colored a traffic light and went for a "driving test" with Mr. Browning. They were all instructed to follow instructions and follow the "road signs" in the Gym. When they came back in class they got their "driver's license".
In Math we reviewed patterns (see pictures).
Have a great evening everyone!
